Course Management by Gary Ley

Managing the least amount of shots
per round thus eliminate taking lots
is much easier said than done
for the most of us and some
Therefore note these basic rules
so not to finish up like fools
Only ever take out the driver
when the fairway is much wider
than at least four big buses
or end up in the trees & bushes,
or maybe rolling into the traps,
definitely resulting in game lapse
Best to plot your way around
slow & boring 'yes' but at least it's sound
advice when playing golfs' stroke play.
Yet there is the fact of match play
and also when playing just for fun
with your mates or even with no-one
Thank goodness for these exceptions
to the rules and the ideas & perceptions
of blasting away taking each hole
as it comes without taking its toll.
