Green side bunker set up by Gary Ley
Firstly you have to enhance,
a very wide open stance,
shuffling both those feet
for a great foundation seat
Go down the grip a pinch ,
Go down the grip a pinch ,
as now down in sand an inch,
Ball in line with the front foot,
Ball in line with the front foot,
off the heel it has to be put.
Also open up the club face.
Swing back at a smooth pace,
giving an early wrist twist,
is a must on the to-do list.
Downward swing at full pelt,
feel a full shot must be felt.
No over flying as you'll be fine
by taking note of the next line.
Aim to hit behind the ball,
feel a full shot must be felt.
No over flying as you'll be fine
by taking note of the next line.
Aim to hit behind the ball,
and not to hit the ball at all.
Look only at that grain of sand
forget ball in the yellow land.
Try to have a follow through
aligning left of the pin to be true.
Noting that more sand you blew ,
Try to have a follow through
aligning left of the pin to be true.
Noting that more sand you blew ,
the less distance the ball flew .

Golf the Rhyming Way ; Hybrids by Gary Ley
Summary in Rhyme all as my golf book ''Golf The Rhyming Way'' by Gary Ley which can be viewed via my publishers House of Pfeffer web site address www.houseofpfeffer.com
As the name suggests a combo club between a long iron and a wood,
that gives the same distance control but with extra height or so it should..
Reasons for Hybrid Clubs also referred to as Rescue ,Escape,Utility by Gary Ley
Hybrids are versatile clubs that can be used in many situations on the course. Not only are they used off the fairway they are brilliant for hitting from the semi rough and even at the edge of the green for those difficult chip and run shots. This is due to the design of the club. Unlike woods, hybrids have a flat face which imparts increased spin on the ball allowing it to stop faster and with greater accuracy upon pitching. Also the lower centre of gravity within the club head helps launch the ball into the air.
No. 1 best tip for using hybrids
The best tip Gary can give you when using these hybrid clubs is always stand a little bit closer to the ball than a wood and have the ball set up in the middle of your stance when playing off the grass.

Golf the Rhyming Way ; Pre-shot routine by Gary Ley
Summary in Rhyme all as my golf book ''Golf The Rhyming Way'' by Gary Ley which can be viewed via my publishers House of Pfeffer web site address www.houseofpfeffer.com
Just take a look at all the tour golf professionals on TV,
build up a pre-shot routine and you will then say that's me.
Pre-shot routine by Gary Ley
The pre-shot routine is an effective way of improving a golfer’s focus element and provides for consistent shot making.
A pre-shot routine is a sequence of thoughts, checkpoints, movements or details that a golfer goes through before hitting any golf shot.
Routine is good for preventing negative thoughts prior to hitting a golf shot and gets the player to focus solely on the shot at hand.
All the best golfers in the world from pros to scratch amateurs will each have their own certain movements that they go through before each shot, and typically, they perform these mannerisms identically for each shot. They would have practiced out these set patterns both on the driving range as well as out on the golf course.
Your own personal pre-shot routine should fit your style and rhythm as a player. Each golfer should try to match the tempo or rhythm of their pre-shot routine to that of their personality and the way they play golf. Do you play fast or slow or perhaps in between? For instance, if you are a very fast-paced individual it probably would not work very well for you to have a long, drawn out, methodical and slow-paced pre-shot routine. Likewise, if you are methodical and plodding, it is not likely a short and hurried pre-shot routine would serve you very well. . Take some careful thought and some conscious and deliberate practice to work on your individual routine, which best suits. Include the details that are important to you, and match your style and rhythm. Make sure you follow the sequenced pre-routine for all your shots during a round of golf. This should also include shots around the green, even those actually on the putting surface.
Once you have developed a set pre-routine that works well for you, not only will it became part of your game you will also notice the vast improvement in your consistency and scores.
